How did the proposal occur?
We met in 2013 at work. We didn't start dating until 2016, got engaged on the 8th October 2021, which was delayed due to Covid and was a few years in the making as Andrew designed the ring! Andrew proposed whilst we were walking the grounds of a local country house at night.
What did you love most about The Manor House?
The attention to detail whilst maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. It is in such a beautiful location and every single member of staff could not do more for us.
We felt completely comfortable during our whole stay. The food is absolutely wonderful.
Did you have a theme or particular style for the day?
We didn't exactly have a theme, but because we were getting married in December, there was a festive element throughout. The Manor House was decorated so beautifully for Christmas so that really added to our day.
We just wanted the day to be super relaxed and stress free. We invited all our guests to stay the night before.
Tell us about the dress...
I got my dress from Ann Louise Bridal in Pinner. My dress was Blue Kalypso by Enzoani.
What do you remember most about the day itself?
Andrew - my bride walking down the aisle!
Vivienne - How relaxed the day was, we both had the best day and enjoyed every moment.
Were there any special moments or surprises on the big day?
Our dog was the ring bearer and it was a small intimate wedding of 30 guests.
Special moments along the way - cake and menu tasting was very enjoyable.
What tips or advice would you give to future couples?
Embrace the experience and don't stress over the small stuff. It is your day so do what feels right for you both! Also listen to the advice of your wedding planner - lean on their experience and wisdom.
