For a dash of fun, our family games room invites children and adults alike to enjoy a delightful selection of games, perfect for festive bonding.

As evening falls, enjoy a sparkling drinks reception accompanied by the enchanting sounds of a local choir filling the air with Christmas cheer.

When it’s time to dine, indulge in a welcome dinner at the elegant Camellia restaurant or the Mediterranean-inspired Botanica. For a truly special experience, upgrade to Michelin-starred The Pass for an exquisite tasting menu, paired with wines selected by our sommelier.

If midnight services are part of your tradition, we’ll happily recommend nearby services and assist with transport arrangements. Upon your return, we’ll have warming hot toddies and mince pies waiting—just the thing before you tiptoe off to bed with visions of Christmas morning delight.

Start your day with a hearty full English breakfast in the Camellia restaurant, or opt for a more leisurely brunch in Botanica, perfect for those embracing a relaxed Christmas morning.

Take time to unwind, in the spa, open for a morning workout or some much-needed festive relaxation. Whether it’s soaking in the thermal suite, or simply soaking up the peace, it’s the perfect way to prepare for the day ahead. Children can enjoy swimming during designated splash times.

For lunch, the celebrations truly begin. Three-night guests can savour a traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings in Camellia, set to the enchanting melodies of a live pianist. Two-night guests will enjoy a sumptuous carvery with all the festive favourites in the South Downs suite, accompanied by a delightful roving trio. A glass of bubbly starts the occasion, with expertly selected wine served throughout your meal.

The afternoon is yours for rest and relaxation, perhaps a stroll through the gardens, a screening in our in-house cinema, or a cosy nap in front of the King’s Speech.

As evening falls, gather for a relaxed spread featuring cold cuts, comforting soups, and delicious treats, paired with a specially selected wine. Board games invite friendly competition, while our interactive quiz offers a fun challenge for those keen to test their knowledge.

Start your Boxing Day with a hearty full English breakfast or opt for a relaxed brunch, served until late morning.

If you are departing today, we kindly ask you to check out of your room by 11.00am, but you’re welcome to extend your stay and enjoy The Spa until 2.00pm.

For those staying another night, enjoy the fresh air with some country pursuits, take a ride on our hotel bicycles, or go for a leisurely walk around the grounds. You can also relax in the family area with a cup of hot chocolate or visit our family cinema room to catch a movie.

Indulge in the spa’s inviting experiences – take a dip in the pool, soak in the outdoor hydrotherapy pool, or take a bracing cold water swim in the outdoor wild swimming pool. You can also treat yourself to a rejuvenating treatment, again, be sure to let us know so we can book your place.

Join us for a traditional lunch, then head over to our talented bar team who will help you create your very own cocktail, let us know if you’d like to join in!

Later, our Sommelier will guide you through a wine-tasting experience, again, make sure to reserve your spot.

For dinner, enjoy a relaxed Mediterranean-style meal, featuring small plates, sharing dishes, and main courses, all set to the soundtrack of live music.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out by 11.00am. Make the most of your final hours with a dip in the pool or a steam session, with spa access available until 2.00pm. And if you haven’t had a treatment yet, be sure to get it booked in!

As your stay draws to a close, head home feeling uplifted, recharged, and ready to switch off from the everyday at South Lodge again soon.

All prices include all meals, beverages, and entertainment as detailed.  Prices are based on double occupancy. Children's prices and single occupancy prices are available on request.

All bookings are subject to availability and all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Reservations are confirmed on receipt of a 50% deposit for each room booked.  The remaining balance, including additional services is required by 1st December 2025.  Bookings made after this date are to be paid in full at the time of booking.

All dietary requirements must be advised at the time of itinerary completion.
