Sarah and James
A gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple. Let's hear about Sarah and James's magical Royal Berkshire wedding.

How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?
We had been friends for many years and finally decided to go on a date and the rest is history! We got engaged after ten years together in Croatia.
What did you love most about Royal Berkshire?
We first fell in love with the beautiful grounds, the style and decor of the hotel and the private walled garden. Then the friendly and welcoming nature of all the staff made it a no brainer for us.
Did you have a theme or particular style for the day?
I wouldn’t say a particular theme but we wanted our style to be quite simple, classic and understated. We did a lot of the decor and little details ourselves and Dominika really bounced off our ideas and it all came together better than we could have hoped.
Tell us all about the outfits...
James always knew he wanted to a tux but my dress was a complete shock I never thought I would end up with a dress that style!
What do you remember most about the day itself?
What I remember most is just feeling so happy. I will never forget sitting at the wedding breakfast looking out on all of our most loved ones all in one room, happy, laughing, eating and drinking and just feeling so content.
Were there any special moments or surprises?
We tried to make little moments out of the planning process such as choosing our rings and coming for our menu tasting and we still talk about those days now. We also came for lunch with our parents on our wedding date the year prior which was lovely and I think this will be our annual tradition.
What tips or advice would you give to future couples?
Just enjoy every moment because it really does go so fast and remember it’s your day!
