How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?
We met in May 2015 at a University Summer Ball and have been inseparable ever since!
Ross proposed in the most romantic way by decorating a room which overlooked the Colosseum in Rome. The words will you marry me were written on the bed in rose petals and the lights from the Colosseum lit up the room.
What did you love most about Royal Berkshire?
From the minute we walked into the Royal Berkshire, it felt like home. Every single member of staff showed that they cared about our special day and we felt so special. Whether it was our initial show around, planning meetings, our special day or even just popping by for a coffee, we were welcomed with open arms and our guests felt exactly the same! Obviously the grounds and the beautiful rooms contributed to us choosing the venue, but if I really had to choose one thing, I would say the feeling that the staff members gave us was the thing that we loved the most.
Did you have a theme or particular style for the day?
We always knew we wanted to go for a traditional white wedding. We used creams and golds to compliment the beautiful backdrop of the room and a mixture of fresh and faux foliage for our centerpieces. We really wanted the wow effect and the room certainly did this!

My dress was a dress from Maggie Sottero which I added a hand made sleeve and veil to.
What do you remember most about the day itself?
We just felt on top of the world. Everyone we loved and cherished was in the same beautiful venue and it just felt incredible.
At one point during the evening the whole room was singing the same song at us and it will be a moment we remember forever.
Were there any special moments or surprises?
I loved the interactions that I had with our wedding coordinator Lydia. Lydia ensured that EVERYTHING went to plan on the day and the months leading up to our wedding. I felt like there was not any question she could not answer, and she worked so hard to ensure our day was special for us!
We also had the London Function Band perform during our meal and evening celebrations. They fit the vibe perfectly and they are definitely an element we will never forget.
What tips or advice would you give to future couples?
Make your wedding about you and your future partner only. Everyone will try to offer you their opinions and advice but you both know what you want your wedding to look like. You will never please everyone!
