As one of the only restaurants in the UK where every dish is smoked or cooked by woodfire, The Wellhouse is an intrepid flavour adventure. A truly social occasion with a menu designed for sharing, plus local wines, ales, Lainston’s own sparkling cider and our homegrown cocktails – including ‘shandygaffs’, a forgotten (but delicious!) English shandy. 

Set in the original, listed wellhouse building, this rustic-luxe setting is the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner, or a fabulous party for those who choose to book the entire restaurant exclusively.

Take your pick of two or three courses, with mouthwatering starters, flavour-packed mains (with yorkies of course) and tasty desserts you know you'll find the space for. Head Chef, Tom Younger

Under the expert guidance of our Head Chef, Tom Younger, The Wellhouse delivers a menu that evolves weekly, inspired by the changing seasons and the fantastic produce grown right here on the estate. Tom and his team of four chefs take great pride in working closely with our grounds team to make the most of the year-round harvest, ensuring that every dish is full of flavour and bursting with fresh ingredients.
