Skills and passions:World baking day
After enjoying a welcome cuppa and pastry with your fellow classmates, you will enjoy a day filled with the aroma of freshly baked breads. With the indoor woodfired oven at the heart of the day’s cooking, our chef will share their knowledge of the behaviours of woodfired ovens before handing over to you to get creating.
You will learn the science behind dough and gain an understanding in how it behaves and how best to work with it. Your day will be filled with kneading, proving, hand shaping and moulding dough before making a variety of breads for all occasions.
No need to be a cooking connoisseur here… the class is relaxed, fun, informative and interactive, suiting all abilities. Sharing a workstation between two (if you come solo we’ll pair you with a classmate), we’ll work together through the preparation and cooking of each dish. You can then enjoy the fruits of your labour, whilst our cleaning wizards do their magic and hey presto - your cooking station is ready for the next dish!
