What time is check-in and check-out?

We invite all guests to check in from 3pm and ask that you have checked out of your room by 11am.

If you arrive before your room is ready, or want to explore the grounds after after check-out, we'd be happy to keep hold of your luggage for you. 

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, it's free of charge, unless you have booked a special rate, until 2 days before arrival, after this time the full charge applies.

Where should I park?

Limited parking is available in the village outside the pub. Parking is also available free of charge at The Manor House which is just next door, subject to availability.

Do you have a gym and other fitness facilities?

Yes we have The Loft gym available for use in the Clubhouse at The Manor House. The Manor House also has a tennis court and running maps available from Reception. There are often private events taking place at The Manor House so if you're planning to use the tennis court or any other facilities at the hotel, please do check these will be available when you make your booking to avoid disappointment.

Will I have access to the facilities at The Manor House during my stay?

Yes, however there are often private events taking place at the hotel so if you're planning to enjoy the grounds or grab a bite to eat there, please do check these will be available when you make your booking to avoid disappointment.

Bringing children aged 0-12 years?

We have cots available for free and z-beds for children under 12 for £40 per stay, per bed. We have a limited number of rooms that can accommodate children so please call us to check availability and capacity for your preferred room type.

Can I bring my dog?

We have a couple of dog-friendly rooms for you to pick from. For an additional charge of £20 per stay for a maximum of one dog, your furry friend can stay and we'll equip your room with a dog bed, blanket and bowl!

Dogs are welcome in all public areas but if they are having a funny five minutes or causing upset for our other guests we will kindly ask if we can relocate you to another area - don't worry there's plenty of grounds for them to enjoy!

Is there free WiFi?

Yes, we offer complimentary WiFi throughout the resort.

What's the nearest train station?

Chippenham Train Station is nearest to us which is 6.5 miles or a 16 minute drive away. There is a permanent taxi rank at the front of the station.

Do you have any beauty or spa facilities?

We don't have a pool or spa on site.

What is accessibility like at the inn?

We love to welcome all our guests and strive to ensure the premises are accessible as possible, though naturally spaces in a 12th century building can be quite difficult,

What time do you serve breakfast?

Breakfast is served 7.30am to 10am every day.

What dining options can you offer me?

The Castle Inn
Lunch 12pm - 2.30pm
Dinner 6.00pm - 8.30pm 
The kitchen is closed between between 3.00pm and 6.00pm but drinks are available from the bar.

Our hotel, The Manor House, also has some options available to you during your stay...

We offer an all day and dinner manor dining menu which can be enjoyed in the lounge spaces or on the terrace during your stay.

Do you offer room service?

Sorry, we do not offer room service.

Can I visit the golf club and what times is it open?

You don't need to be a member to enjoy our golf course, you can book a tee time from our golf club page to experience our 18 hole championship course.

Tee Times available from 11.00am each day, subject to availability
The Clubhouse is open from 9.00am until 6.30pm (last orders at 6pm) everyday.

What safety measures are in place at the golf club?
